Summary0002549: Black Hole Machines should get Command Grade 0 and Scout 0 multiplier
DescriptionCurrently testing some things, and against a One-Way Doormaster, and there are some strategically significant positions in which I'd like to place some command stations, but Black Hole Machines tend to prioritize command stations over other targets, and also enjoy nomming on colony ships.

So what is the issue? That you cant set up your initial CC next to the BHM in fear it shoots your CS or CC? Build an other further away and rebuild an other one once captured :D
(Not sure if I understand the issue, but it comes across to me that what you are saying is that you cant get a CS near a BHM without it getting shot.)

I commend to you the building of a forcefield (via mobile builder) whenever planning a construction project under fire ;)

Or, if the planet is not in supply, a Shield Bearer or Spirecraft Shield Bearer.

Or, if the planet is not in supply and you don't have either shield bearer type, Riot starships with shield modules.

Or, barring all that, use engineers to flash-build the CC/CS (or do engineers not do that out of supply, I forget...).

Of course, I do understand your approach, often the simplest solution to some problems in the game is to ask the developers to change it ;)

I can understand all those steps, just that it's a little on the weird side that a building that you want to capture is shooting at you while you're trying to capture it. And sure, there are ways around it, but those ways tend to be inconvenient or resource intensive (no access to spirecraft, no knowledge to unlock riot control, needing to build a forcefield on the planet instead of being able to send an existing one with the colony ship.)

And yeah, what Red Spot suggested is what I did - build a mk1 econ far away on the planet, and the rebuild the command station in close once the BHM flips, but I'd rather not have to be doing fiddly things just to get optimal positioning while capturing a black hole machine after I've already cleared the planet. And considering this case can come up frequently if you're against a one-way doormaster, it just seems like it's one of those things that's simply a little on the frustrating side without adding anything to the game.

"just that it's a little on the weird side that a building that you want to capture is shooting at you while you're trying to capture it"

Actually I think the weird thing is that this isn't the rule rather than the exception ;)
