Summary | 0025685: Provide a way to have stationary flagships move, without also stopping non-stationary flagships from moving.
Description | One thing that I often do when attacking a planet, is to stack all my flagships on a wormhole, and then send all my ships through. Sending all my ships in works great with stationary flagships, and I can mark things like golems/arks as non-stationary, to have them traverse with the rest of my ships. However, when I want to gather my fleet with all the ships *at* the wormhole, it doesn't work as well, since if I get my regular transports to gather, my officers will ignore the order. My first thought is that if there is any stationary flagship selected, the modifier only enables stationary flagships to move, but if there are none selected, than the modifier causes non-stationary flagships to be treated as stationary. I worry a bit though, that this might be too confusing.

Issuing orders to a stationary flagship should have no impact on anything else in the selection, they are not being ordered. Currently they stop dead in their tracks. Similarly, issuing orders to non-stationary flagships should have no impact on any stationary flagships in the selection. This would make a ton more sense and afaik would still allow you to do anything with either. If you want them both to move, issue two orders -- by setting it on stationary flagship mode you are saying 'i want to have to order this separately and explicitly' so that means two orders to move both together. |

If the intention here was to somehow deal with the games lack of a 'stop' command binding -- it should really just have one. |
