Summary0025994: HRF ships not marking up with Expatriate tech
DescriptionNot 100% sure this is a bug, but I'll report anyways. Human resistance fighter ships remain at mark 2 even when the expatriate tech is purchased. Save attached -- HRF are present and fighting in the Crawley V system.

I assume that the expatriate hull is supposed to affect HRF ships because, despite the tooltip saying "Only affects outguards and HRF ships under your command, does not affect allied factions", the tech does affect outguard ships you summon even though you don't directly control them. HRF are kinda the same deal, and I don't know how else the tech could affect them, so I assume the random ships that show up to assist you are supposed to be affected by the tech. If I'm wrong, and this is how things are supposed to work, then perhaps the tooltip should be changed?

Technically this is working correct, as it only works for units that are owned by your faction. If there are outguard or similar who grant you ships, in your color, then that tech would work. If they're allies who show up to help you, they don't grant you ships, so it doesn't affect them. That said, making it affect them seems interesting.

* Fixed up some code so that the InheritsTechUpgradesFromPlayerFactions function now works properly.
** There is also a new uses does_player_style_ship_upgrades="true" that causes the above to be set automatically. This is now used on the Human Resistance Fighters and the Outguard.
** Based on this, HRF and Outguard ships will ALL have any upgrades that the players choose. Specifically, they'll have the combination of the highest upgrades for each tech line.
** This makes it so that you can upgrade any outguard ships via your techs (not just some of them), and so that you can upgrade the HRF using the Expatriate hull for the first time ever.
