Description | I've been noticing a consistent slowdown when I was testing spectator mode. It's a choppy kind of slowdown where everything hitches and the time crawls to about 2 in-game seconds per real life second, even at 5x (from 500% to about 330%). It keeps happening at around 1h 13 mins--specifically 1h 13m 20s (4400 seconds), I later found. After further narrowing down the # of factions, the factions themselves, # of AI, non-civil war AI, restarting the game and then the PC, and finally doing only a single AI, it just happens on the dot. 1h 13m 20s then immediate slowdown. Finally, I started a regular game with the same parameters as spectator mode (primarily 0 starting AIP, which also doesn't spawn waves against you) and camped it out until 1h 13m 20s and the first instigator popped up. So it's probably something to do with instigators and an absent human empire. | ||||
