| Description | I tested this on both Spectator and Regular games. It might also be a thing on the previous patch that I didn't notice right away because waves against you and other factions still worked normally then. Whenever the AI sends a wave against another AI, it spawns then explodes after a few seconds (on 5x). The behavior is slightly different depending on if it's a regular wave or cross-planet but the outcome is the same. For regular ones, the wave will spawn as usual from their wormhole, fight for a few moments, then rush back through the wormhole into the planet that sent the wave (heading somewhere I can't really tell), where it dies shortly. For cross-planet waves, they'll spawn and head towards the target planet then it's the same behavior as the regular wave. Either way, they take the same time to die so a cross-planet wave might just explode without even reaching their target. Edit: Added note. Same thing happens now if waves are sent to other factions. Waves against neutral planets (primarily reconquest waves, but I later found regular waves as well) work fine. | ||||

Edited to Just AI Waves, not just AI Waves against AI. The AI sent a wave against a Marauder-owned planet, with the same result. Exploded after a few seconds. To confirm, I did test this on a regular non-Civil War game and the waves worked fine. |

Oddly enough though, reconquest waves still work fine. |

Is there a savegame where we can replicate this? It sounds like it's some of the logic for protecting against excessive threat buildup, but I don't remember all that well how that evolved. |
