| Description | tl;dr: stack identical ship-lines with identical mark levels into one line I've got the standard 1920x1080p monitor, tooltips can get a bit excessive and in my opinion it kinda adds to the charm of the game so normally no complaints. But I noticed, particularly on the necromancer flagships, it can get too excessive. Having too many ship lines on one flagship can make it painfully hard to read and it can often get in the way of viewing the battlefield obscuring more than half of the screen. Since necromancer flagships do far more than the standard human flag-ship players may give them more direct orders than usual leading to the huge tool tip popping up more frequently making it slightly annoying trying to order the flagship as it'll get obscured by its own tooltip, particularly on busy battles with multiple priority targets close by. If the tool tip stacks all identical ship lines and adds their totals together it would greatly increase readability for how many ships are left and shrink the tooltip size by a significant amount. | ||||

I think that's a good idea for the 'boosted/protected by' section, but not necessarily for the ship lines themselves. It's important for the player to know if any of the individual ship lines are below cap, for example. Another option is lowering tooltip text size in the settings, but a lot of the territory here is that bottom boosted/protected by area, so just consolidating that - if feasible - would save a lot of room. |
