Summary0027467: Allied Architrave bug
DescriptionAllied Architrave causes AIP increase, when expanding beyond the amount of their territory planet count. Shakajolt, Tomi, Koza, Candlin and Markham were taken by the Architrave, some of which it then managed to lost, but the AIP price has been paid, still.

A note: RtFAI mod is used in this save. However, it is not the case, as it was the issue back when I didnt use the mod, allied architrave would still cause the AIP increase when expanding beyond its set territory.

According to Ovalcircle on Discord on May 28 "Friendly ZA don't increase AIP when taking core territory. It does when expending vs pioneers"

Do the galaxy settings for 'Allies can destroy command stations' and 'Allies can cause AIP gain' apply to allied architrav? What are their values in this save situation?

If the setting is such that allies are not suppose to cause AIP gain, and they are, that is 100% a bug. What the architrav's default behavior is...i have no idea though.

ZA will played exactly the same no matter allied or neutral which doesn't make them very useful ally. Since expanding is what they do then they will destroy command stations. It's one of the allies that can actually make the game harder like Marauders.
I think the idea is in a 3-4 ZA civil war a player would be allied to one to join and in the civil war. You could turn off "Allies can increase AIP".

ZA are designed to not increase AIP on their core planet but if the player build a station on them will increase AIP to 20. After they can reach the number of core planets they will send out pioneers to expand which if set will lead to a civil war with other ZA. Those planets captures by the pioneers to increase 20 AIP since they will destroy AI stations. This is done by design.

It sounds like it is working as intended. If you want that behavior changed, maybe try to drum up support on discord but i wouldn't guess it to be likely since you can also just use the galaxy setting to turn off aip gain.
