Summary0002772: 2000 Ship warp gate cap
DescriptionThe AI has a ship cap of 2000 per warp gate for each warp event.

For example if the wave size was 4000 then the AI must spawn it from two viable warp gates. Exo galaxy wormholes do not have this cap. This way the AI can attack using waves at more than one planet at once. At higher wave sizes this could be 3 or more gates! Of course wave sizes > 1000 still means the remaining ships are spawned as carriers.

The AI can attack more than one planet at once, just two plants in single player. In multiplayer, it can attack 2 planets per player. You can get a similar effect with multi-planet starts.

Spreading things out too much by creating artificial caps would make it very easy for the player to bottlenec.
