Summary | 0028196: Buildings that cannot be built due to insufficient microbots are not always greyed out
Description | When you can't build a building it is greyed out. However, if you have all of the resources and space to build it, except for microbots, it isn't greyed out. Example in save: Hydroponic tower.

This is technically by design. There are two parts to construction -- the job and the structure. When you have all of the resources to build the job but not the structure, it will let you click the button. This allows you to assign the job to an existing building that can house it, replacing some other job, if you were inclined to do that. You can also swap the jobs of a structure at the structure itself, but being able to do it from either end was something I felt like was nice. There are times where you may desperately want a job, already have a structure it would fit in, but not have have the resources to build a whole new structure under it, and in these cases this is why the current behavior is useful. However, the case of just building the job and structure at the same time is by far the more common case, so if it's actively confusing, then that's something worth considering if this is how it should be or not, I suppose. |
