Summary | 0003207: Make ships not follow retreat range setting when...
Description | Make ships not follow retreat range when told to attack something with radar dampening that is less than the retreat range. Causes annoying problems when trying to attack guard posts with Raptors. I don't know if this interferes with any other ships, but it would also prevent future headaches if new ships with retreat ranges are added.

I'm pretty sure this is a duplicate, but I can't seem to find the original posting. |

The original ticket, iirc, was concerning arti-golems dancing around towards guard posts and getting hamered before taking down any/enough. Which now no longer is affected by radar dampening. I find Golems to be idiots in this regard as well, set an armored golem to take down a spire-shield and see how it "tries" .. from twice the distance it is allowed to shoot at the radar dampened post, you are lucky if it does start dancing back and forward towards the post (having auto-kiting on doesnt help much either :)). |
