DescriptionI'm really not sure what happened here.

I was killing off a vengeful ghost. I actually killed it, but my character died anyway. (I was close to dead, and got hit, and auto-cure kicked in, but I died anyway.)

I don't know if it's an odd corner case or what. A few SS's attached and I don't know how I could re-test this. :(

Note: This was on the [Mac]. I never died before tonight so this was my first time with a Vengeful Ghost attacking me. Only one wandered off so I know I killed the first one. :)

I like how if you load the save game... Your funeral pyre has the blue invulnerability particle effect on it. :)

The purple miasma behind the ghost is actually poisonous to stand in. Is it possible that after your auto-potion popped, you were still taking damage from the miasma?

That's what I'm wondering, too -- the miasma is almost as dangerous as the ghost itself, and very nearly will one-hit kill you. Could it have been that?

Given that I didn't know that, and my typical method of fighting is not to move much, then yes... I'm imagining that the purple miasma is what killed me.

Adding a note to the log as to why you died would be nice. (Like in NetHack... "...killed by a level 2 whatchamacallit with an arrow")

That said: why does my health show up as full? That might also be a (different) bug.

Um, I think ever since I've started testing this game, whenever I died and it was prompting me to press confirm, that it showed me at full health, or at least with some health. Must be a long standing bug.

Yeah, I think that's just the "player bones" object showing itself as having full health, which is of course a no-no.

The player bones showing full health thing was fixed a couple of versions back. Thanks!
