This is the same problem that you're having with all the other OSX mouse stuff, actually -- they are all related. For some reason, your computer is literally telling the game that the mouse cursor is way up there.

What kind of mac is it? Which OS version, what kind of mouse if any, is this a laptop, etc? I'm using a mid-2010 MacBook Pro 15" on Snow Leapord, using alternately a magic mouse or just the magic trackpad built in, and don't see the issue.

I'll see what I can do to prevent this, but we've seen this before where sometimes the trackpads will automatically flip to due north (or usually northwest, honestly, in the past) when not in use.

"OSX - When entering the management map (from the green gem) the first time, my map starts to scroll upward automatically."

Sounds like your mouse cursor was in the scrolling zone on the top edge of the screen; do you know if that was happening?

"When I rename a settlement, the town map jogs up and to the left for every keypress while typing the name."

Sounds like the shift key got "stuck" in the game's estimation and any arrow-key presses you were being interpreted as scrolling. Were you pressing any of the WASD or arrow keys? We're going to remove the shift+direction-key=scroll thing on those windows because of the stuck key issues.

Oh, just saw Chris's comment, perhaps this one isn't in entirely mine after all ;)

Yeah, this one is me. You don't even have a Mac. ;)

I am using OSX 10.7.1 on an iMac, with the Apple wireless keyboard (the smaller one with no keypad) and the Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000. In the interest of full disclosure, the MS Mouse has it's own control panel addon to the OSX Preferences. Not sure if that's relevant or not.

* Put in a change to hopefully circumvent an odd bug in Unity OSX where if you hit a keyboard key when the trackpad isn't actively moving, the Y coordinates of the mouse would mysteriously flip negative. This only manifests in the compiled version of AVWW, not in the unity editor, which is why we never saw this until now.
** This seems to fix all of the OSX mouse-related bugs, but please let us know if you see anything else with it.

This was thought to have been resolved in 0.502 but as of 0.505 it still happens. I will try experimenting with mouse settings to see if the Microsoft mouse or its control panel is associated with the problem.
