Summary0005719: Battleground missions in windstorms -- allies shots go nowhere
DescriptionMaybe a side-effect of the change to plasma shots. Anyway, harder mission is fine (spells like fireball get pretty hard to use, general enemy buffs side), but the allies probably should not be penalized that much. Otherwise the mission would be over before you got there :-)

I noticed this too. Fortunately, my allies are still useful as ablative shielding even if they aren't shooting usefully.

To add to this, enemy skelebots and probes can hit your base from halfway across the map because of the increased projectile speed.

To some extent: don't fight in windstorms. But, we'll see if we can make it a little less one-sided.

Not sure if it should be marked as a duplicate of 0005313 or just related to it. It's basically the same issue, but different symptoms/results of it.

Attaching a fun screenshot. It's a battlefield mission in a windstorm. All of the ally plasma shots are going straight up into the air.

"don't fight in windstorms" would certainly solve this...but it's a battlefield mission to establish a wind shelter, which seems like one of those things players would want to do often: fight through the wind to put up a shelter and make the world a nicer place. In that perspective, the ally shot situation would seem like part of the challenge...if only it were not so comical!

For 0.580:

* Battlefield allied minion shots now have +150% projectile speed and -60% projectile lifetime. They now travel the same distance but much faster, which helps keep them viable during windstorms. The windstorm effect still reduces their effective range, however.
