| Description | I would like an "auto build science labs" control much like the auto build engineers control. If this took into account whether the planet has had its K supply exhausted it would be even better. | ||||

I believe their is an auto-research option (right click when you have a science lab selected) which causes them to move from system to system, gathering Knowledge for you so you don't need to control them. Maybe that will meet your needs. For reference, to date I've never built a science lab in any game excluding Mark III for K-Raiding. |

Turns out its alt-right click actually. But that does work far better than autobuilding them everywhere. Thanks. Closing this idea. EDIT: Well, apparently I can't close it. |

Mine are killed occasionally (probably while transitioning between planets due to auto-research) -- having a galaxy wide option for the # of science labs that would help regen them before I figure out science progress is stalled. So, to that extent I would find it useful. I don't think it needs to be more complicated than 'build at a planet/closest planet' to where knowledge can be gathered. |
