Description | For a short period of time, you assume an ethereal form. While in this form, you cannot cast spells or use most items (elusion scrolls should still be allowed), but you do not collide with (or take melee damage from) enemies or traps, and you take reduced damage from spells.
This spell could easily be flavored as a Water, Air, Light, or Entropy spell. It should have a long cooldown (at least 1 minute), probably in its own "Escape" category. (A while ago, someone suggested a time distortion spell, which would also be a good candidate for the "Escape" category.) The long cooldown would prevent it from obsoleting Lesser Teleport, but it would still provide an alternative to teleportation as an escape mechanism or a way of getting past traps in tight spaces, just so there's more than one game in town. |
