| Description | The Spire Railcluster has a polycrystal hull. A rather strange choice (as the rail cluster doesn't really fit the "bomber archtype", but whatever), but fair enough. It's nice to see Spire stuff that doesn't have medium as its hull type. However, this choice seems odd when you consider the standard counter to polycrystal stuff, standard fighters, and their light hull type. The Spire Railcluster has a 3x bonus to light hull types, meaning they are good at countering their own counters. And thanks to the large number of moderately strong hits of the railcluster, it usually gets the upper hand in fights verses fighters, even when you consider its own low ship cap. As the light hull type bonus sort of fits their role (a counter to large number of weaker ships), could they maybe get a different hull type? (preferably one that the bomber doesn't have a bonus against) | ||||

It's actually not rare for a bonus fleet ship to get a hull bonus against the triangle ship that counters it (or would otherwise counter it). The same is true of MLRS, Raiders, Teleport Battlestations, Munitions Boosters, Vorticular Cutlasses, and Deflector Drones. |

To add to what Bognor said, vampires are immune to their triangle counter. I think they have refractive hull tpye, but they have an immunity to missile ammo. |

For 6.007 the railcluster has a composite hull :) |
