Summary0004921: Scale commodity tower bosses to civ level
DescriptionSince the rewards from comm towers don't scale with the region level I don't see why the bosses should. So when going for a moonstone it shouldn't be easy just because I picked a level 5 region.

Hmmm, I don't like the idea of scaling the bosses to civ levels, because then it becomes impossible to over-level bosses like some folks like to do. But, maybe we should do something like "if current tower is in a region x levels below you, the commodity is no longer available"?

Then people will start worrying that they'll lose out if they level without visiting the towers. Considering the towers only use minibosses I don't think overleveling is that necessary, that's more something you'll want to use on lieutenants and overlords. I don't know about others but I wiped out a bunch of minibosses that were like 6 levels above me in fast and brutal battles.

Some of that has to do with the fact that only the EASIER minibosses are even implemented yet, though. I'm on the fence with this one.

My gut feeling is against this idea for the reasons given above.

If you've gone so many levels without the rare commodity item in order to over-level the mini-bosses guarding it, have you not earned/paid for the advantage you would than have?

I had a similar suggestion a while ago about making the final boss in a rare commodity tower scale to civ level.

I'm not using up nearly as many rare commodities as the game spawns so I haven't had a situation where there wasn't a super low level tower available with whatever thing I wanted. I understand that that might change but it's hard to tell which things will change and which ones will not as the game gets more content.

I think there should be flexibility to outlevel a commodity tower. The "penalty" for doing so is that you're unable to utilize that commodity for a longer period of time. As time goes on if you need more and more of that commodity, you're going to end up having picked all the low-hanging fruit and go after tougher beasties.
