Description | Many of the boss rooms I encountered (especially in level-up windmills were so brim-full with dangerfalls, bladetraps, mines etc. that combined with a very low ceiling (4 tiles high - assuming the player character has a height of two tiles) there is virtually no room to dodge the henchmen's attacks (or the henchmen herself for that matter) without taking damage. With my current character (4 hearts) this essentially means that most of my boss fights don't last longer than 4-8 hits. Especially combined with the high amount of melee damage dealt by enemies/henchmen (I will open a separate issue for this)... I'm not sure how helpful this general complaint is to you to change something about it, but I will attach my world file just in case. | ||||

Agreed. Boss rooms feel way too cramped for fighting the bosses. Hazards are one thing, but a ceiling as low as the ones I've seen means you have no room to jump over the boss when they corner you. |

The boss rooms in the original AVWW were one of the worst parts of the game for me, I suspect/hope when they design the AI for each of the main henchmen they will design rooms specifically for them. Personally It would be interesting if they made it so when you enter a boss room walls lock you in and are removed when the boss is dead, of course a sign would be needed to warn players. |
