Summary0010573: Blast spells are too strong
DescriptionThe blast spells (bacteria blast and lava blast are the ones I played with in this most recent patch) are far too strong, especially now with the concentration system in. While most of the spells require some tactical use and positioning, the blast spells require none as they hit a wide arc, are very rapid firing, and can hit with multiple shots against the same enemy (which makes up for the low individual shot damage).

Once you start stacking concentration bonuses as well their caliber starts to create a nice shield for you. This creates a situation where you really only need to use that one spell and hold it down to "win".

I would recommend slowing down the firing speed enough so that you have to be tactical about when you use it. In essence, making it work like a shotgun - where it has powerful arced blasts, but isn't particularly fast firing.

We recently reduced the damage for all the spells above Tier 1. Are these still too high?

I won't be able to test this, as my computer went kaput. Somebody else will have to!

I'm guessing that compared to others of its tier it's still on the strong side, but that's just conjecture.
