Summary0010693: Overdoing melee only enemies in some areas
DescriptionI don't mind having some melee only enemies... it makes things interesting changing up combat. However, there are some areas I enter where almost every enemy there is melee only. Especially Ocean Shallows... Land Shark, Leaper Crab, Jellyfish, the water bubbles... all melee only. It sort of makes classes that don't have a melee attack useless in those regions, forcing me not to fight at all and hoping I can dodge enough attacks to reach the end of the area before I die.

I feel that if an area is making me feel like any class that doesn't include a melee attack is useless, it is a bad thing. All the classes should be useful and good for different play styles, with up sides and down sides... none of them should be completely without benefit in a given area.

This is actually intentional that the Ocean Shallows are melee-only. It adds variety to the tactical situations in the game.

I disagree that all classes should be good for all situations. Doing this only makes them feel homogeneous. You should always have access to a class that has melee. Are you aware that you can change your class for different situations?

I'm not saying all classes should be -good- for all situations. I am saying no class should be -completely useless- in some situations.

Ammo spells also work on enemies, so no class IS completely useless in the area. With a combination of dodging and using ammo spells you can make it through ocean shallows with any class.
