Summary | 0011030: Astro Train mine immunity
Description | Astro trains (other than the Cargo Astro Train) are immune to mines. However, this is not reflected in the description for these trains. The immunity is caused by having a flag that prevents auto-attacking, in addition to being unable to manually attack with mines.

They should probably not be mine immune because the designated purpose of ATs is to mess with static defenses so acting as a mine plow would be right in line with that. |

I think Astro Trains need an overhaul, but that's actually another issue. As of now, astro trains are more of a threat to mobile military (especially with the tractor/widow trains), and no longer directly attack base defenses. As such, I can safely build large defenses all over the place without trains wrecking them - the only exception is the mines, which are explicitly built just for the trains. Whether or not you should be able to make Astro Train traps is free for discussion, but it should be consistent among the different train types. (Quick fix is a rampage command, which attacks even things that are dangerous or futile.) |
