For planets adjacent to a planet you own or have scout vision on, this actually makes sense. So long as you have scouted the bordering planet at least once and seen it under AI ownership, can tell which wormholes connect to planets with a full warp gate or not, without needing vision on the bordering planet, just the planet with the inbound wormhole. Now granted, without that vision, you can't tell why it regained a full warp gate (usually a warp gate guardian, but it could be a new warp gate structure bought from the traders or the AI mothership (which I think also is considered a full warp gate)). But you can tell that a planet that couldn't send waves can now do so even without active vision. For AI planets far away from your planets, yea, this would make no sense. |

I think the main reason why AI spawned a warp guardian in system is because there is a devourer golem in-system. I can tell that because the system is "on-alert" state. As for WHY would the devourer golem deserve an AI warp guardian spawn to only "feed" the devourer golem oh wait.... |
