In what sense? It also says "look at the tooltips to see what the resource chains are," or something to that effect. And when you look in the barracks, it says every specific building that is currently missing for a given unit. I can't see that anything is lacking there, so long as the tooltips are read. Am I missing something? |

Sure, somebody experienced with god games would have the intuition to figure it out herself but newbies would require more hand-holding. |

The intro tutorial stuff says, repeatedly, _read the tooltips on stuff to learn what it does_.
I could rewrite the tooltips in the tutorial, but that seems to make people's eyes glaze over. Basically anyone who won't read tooltips is just going to fail this game, is the main thing, I think.
Not that I'm trying to toss out accessibility, but in a game this freeform I'm not sure that there's much value in making people walk through a step-by-step tutorial on how to construct a building and staff it, while the tooltips are right there telling them from the start. Experience also tells me that the people most in need of those sorts of tutorials... skip them. |
