Summary0011167: Too many resource types?
DescriptionThere are twice as many resource types in this game as any other I've seen, but there are only 12 basic units per side. There are an awful lot to keep track of, and I'm not sure what having to make pigs AND bacon adds to the game.

Also, there is a huge purpose to pigs versus bacon. Pigs are global, bacon is local. Without that locality you cannot control what is built at each town. But with the locality being required for raw resources, that would be super annoying on a huge number of levels.
