Summary | 0011184: Confirmation of End Turn when actions still remain
Description | As a test, I wondered what would happen if I clicked on the End Turn Icon while I still had actions available. While I understand why you might want to do this, a confirmation message "You still have actions available, are you sure?" or something along those lines as a reminder might be worthwhile.

Hopefully if this is added, its a toggle, as I can see where play might benefit from holding a few turns back for emergencies, and it might be a pain to have to click ok twice every round. |
I agree on both points. Right now (even though the color of the UI changes) it doesn't feel like a lot of feedback and I'm always tempted to double click because I'm expecting something to happen. Once people get used to it, I can see how they wouldn't want that confirm to pop up, so a toggle on it would be nice. |
I wasn't a huge fan of this in AVWW2, but I think it is appropriate here. For additional feedback, the map could jump to the other side's Town Center or the UI panel itself could swap to the other side. Something more clear to indicate that the turns have swapped. |
I'd prefer if the confirm only popped up when you had 7 or more actions left, which would cause you to waste actions due to the cap. |
Only as a toggle, I agree. Being forced to confirm might get annoying. |
Good idea, especially around turn 0(Due to the free buildings) and/or when there are 7+ actions left. But in the later case it should be possible to toggle it off. |
I suppose a possible solution to the best of both worlds would be to have it on during the tutorial part, and then at the end of the tutorial have an option that comes up and says "would you like to disable turn notification for the remainder of the game"? Could also implement it as an option for the entire game (so you wouldn't HAVE to do it in the tutorial)...but for the folks going through it the first time they would have an option to disable it once the tutorial is complete without having to go back to the option screen and manually perform it. Just some thoughts... |
I personally wouldn't have it active, but if this were implemented having three settings would seem ideal to me: 1) Notification if any actions remain. 2) Notification if 7 or more actions remain. 3) Disable notification. Having a popup like that would only annoy me, but I understand some people might like it. |
