Summary | 0011384: Multiattack unit behave strangely
Description | Unit under influence of Singansteinn behave strangely. It seems they will try to hit one target once and then go away to find another target. And that another target can be quite far which means that they will attack 1-2 times during turn while having 8-9 moves.

I am not sure what the problem is; each attack costs 1 movement point, and movement points are otherwise spent as normal. This sounds correct...? |
Mechanic wise it is correct. The strange part for me is that unit that could attack target x times in this round (multiple attacks and no retaliation) will attack it once and then go somewhere else to attack different target. It will use significant amount of movement points for moving even if it has target on hand. |
Do units have a target unit they attempt to cycle through? O.o |
Ohhhh, now I see what you mean. A unit with a multi-attack ability is only allowed to attack a single tile once per turn. Otherwise it's the same as just one larger attack. That's what keeps arsonists moving around towns, etc. |
If it's by design then it's a significant drawback for Singansteinn. Especially if used on ranged units but also for melee. |
In large battles, the Singansteinn (second cousin of Frankenstein?) is very valuable. Small battles are the problem, as orzelek indicated. Would it be reasonable to give ranged units a limit to how far they will move during a multi-attack? That would help with them getting insta-killed during the enemy's next move. |
Thanks! * All units that can attack multiple targets are now able to attack the same target multiple times per turn rather than having to switch targets with every attack. This makes them a lot more powerful, and seem a lot more sane. |
