Summary | 0011523: Stronger visual indication of turn change
Description | I understand the red/blue theme to the UI was added during the first alpha round to make the turn change more obvious. I don't think it went far enough. For example, when the turn changes, a couple of my favorite turn-based strategy games notify the player in giant two-inch-high animated capital letters. (See attached screenshots.) I think the game should also scroll to the newly active player's oldest town center when the turn ends. A deeply ingrained strategy gamer's reflex is to assume that, because I just built in a town, it means that I can build in that same town again on the next turn. Most players aren't used to switching sides every turn, and moving the view will help them adjust. (Maybe this feature can be turned off in the options for players who don't like it, or players who learned the game during the alpha and will just be put off by it.)
