Summary0011721: Bring back mountains and lakes
DescriptionWhy not just use the same algorithm that checks paths for smite? All you need to do is count mountains and lakes the same as spaces. Additionally, whenever the game randomly adds mountains, it should apply the same algorithm and cancel mountains that would cut off a town.

The AP cost of each of these actions should probably be 3 to discourage creating long, narrow roads connecting enemy towns ie. smite should also be 3 on any tile.

Given the additional ability of mountains to prevent siege units from firing across them, and given the fact that lakes and the void already serve as uncrossable tiles, I suggest that mountains should only be crossed at the rate of one tile per turn without the mountain-crossing or flying abilities.
