Could someone restate the request here? I don't understand the description, sorry :) |
For each slot in inventory. If you have an item with a better stat available, color the border for that slot so that we know to compare the items and check if we have something better. |
By inventory, do you mean the window that's actually labeled "Inventory"? If so, I'm not sure how you'd determine which borders to color. Or do you mean the Customization window that shows the picture of your exo and each system and each slot in those systems? In that case I can understand you wanting to color the borders of those slots if an obvious upgrade is detected. But answering the question "is there an obvious upgrade available for this slot?" is pretty complicated. Most of the loot parts will (iirc) have more than one stat. If you have a slot that currently has a part with +100 shields and +30 regen, and in your inventory you have a part with +90 shields and +35 regen should it highlight the slot? What about if in your inventory you have a part with +110 shields and +25 regen? |
The new (if crude) auto part screen that you put in goes a long way towards fixing this issue, the parts are no longer overwhelming and the game has gone from fun explosions mixed with terrible interludes to fun explosions mixed with brief so-so interludes to add parts. :D |
Glad to hear it helped :) Heh, back during the alpha I remember you saying the inventory management wasn't fun, but didn't hear much from other people so figured it wasn't a big deal... well, it wasn't a huge deal, but a LOT of people started saying the same thing just after release. I'll endeavor to listen better next time ;) By the way, the auto-equip button is secretly not totally braindead: it tries to use items in the inventory pane as it's actually shown, so if you set the sort/filter dropdown to prioritize +shields (or whatever) auto-equip will tend to pump up your shields, and so on. |
