Summary0012528: after load appears a "client receiving data error" then there is no warp between systems.
Descriptionthis is the second time that this bug occurs. when I load my last game, from both saved manually or auto saved, appears a error saying "client receiving data error" and there is no warp between the systems. First time that it occurred I put to dont delete the older auto saves. Looking back in my saves, the error occured on the last 5 auto saves.

I've had this issue as well. It also seems to delete all the metal and crystal off the map as well.

Same error with me, however it is a multiplayer game and the error also results in the other player not being able to connect. Had the same error crop up now on two saves which is bugging us so we are now not playing at all until the issue is resolved

Just experienced this for the first time. On a Mac, Steam version -- wormholes and resources are all gone. Exo-galactic wormhole is still active.

Happens on my main save and the autosave that occurred one minute before the manual save.

I was just one system away from winning!

I've been seeing this since yesterday as well. I lost a couple of hours worth of auto-save files to this, the strange part is that the error seems to have first happened in the 6.48 08/01/2014 file attached but I was able to load that okay on the 10th. Now any save from there on, including the 6.48, has that error.

Hmm, it definitely seems to have something to do with hacking. Just looked at my Arcen Debug log:

Thinking about it, I'd just done a sensor hack on the AI homeworld then destroyed the hacker.

Yup, it's the sensor hack. Please see the attached files, 'Clean Save', 'TimerSave' and 'DirtySave'.

Clean Save was made just before jumping a 1,500 ship fleet and a hacker to the AI homeworld. TimerSave was made after performing a sensor hack and killing the hacker, with roughly 32 seconds remaining on the invisibility field. Dirty was after the field wore off.

As you can see, the data error showed up in TimerSave but we can't see the '0:32 remaining' message. Possible that countdown is not getting serialised out properly?

Oh dear, sorry for not seeing this earlier.

Just in for 7.010, which is now out:

* Fixed a bug in recent versions where using certain hacking units (sensor hack, for instance) could corrupt some saves.
