| Description | Occasionally when I start Bionic Dues up I receive a message box of "Fatal error in gc" with the message "DuplicateHandle failed." Sometimes this occurs at the Gameint stage and sometimes when it's loading items from the disk. I am currently running the game on Windows 7. | ||||

What kind of antivirus are you running (if any)? We've heard of this kind of error coming from Avast, ESET, and possibly others interacting with Unity stuff. |

Ok, here are some threads I've seen for other games with a similar issue, with resolutions that worked for the people involved: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=117134.0 (short story: in Avast, try "Uncheck: Settings -> Toubleshooting -> Enable hardware-assisted virtualization" ) http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/37787-Avast-Antivirus-The-Unity-KSP-Fatal-error-in-GC-Fix In short there's nothing we can do if Avast decides to kill our game when it sees it, but I can help you find a way to get Avast to stop doing that :) |
