Summary0001302: Added ships all seed in a line if an existing savegame.
Descriptionwyvern83: The new asteroids look pretty cool. I don't mind having them all in one spot (per system) but I'm curious if the line formation they all appear in now is a placeholder.

Me:
That "seeding all in a line" thing only happens in existing savegames, and I'm not sure why it does that. It does that for any ships that are belatedly added to a new savegame, I'll have to look at that.

I kinda wish it had remember that I'd started on only one homeworld. Generating a new game with the same seed and exact same settings has them settled differently across the galaxy.

If my game had been a fresh one, some my planets (that I have now) would have asteroids on them. Not to mention more of the asteroids containing systems appear to be a bit closer. Is there a way that could be fixed?

Yeah, I could fix that. I'd originally made it intentionally not seed on the planets not controlled by the AI at the time of seeding, but as you point out that can have detrimental effects. Don't save your game with the asteroids in it, though or they won't re-seed. They only seed once. Sorry about that if it causes a blockage, I hadn't thought of it before now and at the moment I really need to go get some sleep, it's been an incredibly long day.

Oh, just to be clear, currently in my game asteroid systems are abit farther away. I'd like them to be closer as if they had seeded from the start.

I have both player occupied and unoccupied non-homeworld planets if that makes a difference. (2 apiece, one of both are next to the homeworld)
