Description | Sometimes Zenith Hydra spawns more than one head. in a controlled environment, I found that firing with 12 sniper turrets against a MKIII Hydra will cause it to spawn 2 heads instead of 1. Probably it will happen even with 10 or 14 turrets, but with 12 it always happens. | ||||

Note: This is related to an issue in a multiplayer game I hosted with a friend, where in about 5 seconds of continuous fire from Neinzul Mourner/Epsilon Eradani/etc. ships, 4 Hydra MkIIs spawned over 300 individual heads according to the side panel. As he couldn't reproduce it with one incoming damage source, and I remembered that many of these ship types have very slow bullet speed, perhaps it was due to receiving damage from many multiple sources simultaneously. Frankly, I always looked at the Hydra as kinda useless for it's ability. After all it has to die to really use it a lot, but now... it's kinda frightening in the AI's hands. |
