Description | For some reason this save keeps desyncing the second Spelguru loads the game. Loading a previous autosave works fine, but not this save game. Issue happened later on and a new save reproduced this same issue, but autosave allowed us to proceed again. Not sure what is causing it. Log says "Unhandled Error" "Something about a carrier being produced" "Spelguru Desync Error" | ||||

Update: It's happening so frequently now that auto saves aren't happening fast enough to allow for progress. Things I have noticed: It seems to happen when a large number of ships are given orders, either by us, or the AI. Spelguru reports that the transfer sizes of the bugged saves are smaller than those from a few minutes before consistently. It may be that somewhere in the new net code (which works very fast) it's losing track of ships that it is supposed to be transferring to the other players. |

I just tested loading this save in MP in my candidate-for-7.013 version and it worked just fine, no errors or desync or whatever. It's possible that the tons of code changes in 7.013 resolved this as a side effect, so let me know if it works for you in 7.013 when that's out (aiming at tomorrow, Monday, for that; just chasing down some stuff found in testing). |

Honestly, I haven't played since I sent this bug. Just had a bed bug treatment to our house, so we were busy with packing, not being in the house during the treatment, then moving furniture back to where it should be. I'll get back to you with further testing, preferably after 7.015 honestly due to the Neinzul Mourner bug. Edit: Just got to test it out. Still getting the Desync with Spelguru the second he loads this save. Both of us are using 7.014 |

Added a new save with the same problem in the same game. Further in the game this time, when we kept having it crop up at random intervals. |

Still getting these errors in the latest build. 7.020 Just curious, are you trying to recreate network conditions between Florida and Sweden, with one person on a wireless connection. It could be that the new network code doesn't handle packet loss combined with high latency very well. |

Didn't come directly from this report, but for 7.021: * Fixed a longstanding desync bug where Dire Guardian Lairs on client machines would get an extra build point (if alerted) upon the client loading the data, thus leading to it doing certain logic 1 second before the host, thus causing a desync. That may well be what you've been hitting. Please try again in 7.021 (I hope to have it out by noonish on Tuesday) or later and let me know how it goes :) |
