Description | Instead of making a current wave 3x as large how about having it happen 3x as often. On some things we can have the larger waves and on other we can have a lot more. This might help with the 80x modifiers that still only go up to 2000 ships (as I understand it), but could instead make a everlasting wave with those high multipliers (depending how its balanced). Hopefully no one will be foolish enough to have 32x size and 43x frequency waves. ;) | ||||

Hmm. That could get interesting. If a wave hits a planet with 3x, the next wave from that AI would spawn 3x as fast. The only issue I see is what would happen if you have multiple homes or play at diff. 8 or higher. Would it spawn all waves 3x faster, or just one of them? Is it possible to differentiate the waves enough so that you in essence get one wavecounter per wave (which would also make the waves non-synchronized; each wave, even from the same AI and without this multiplier, wouldn't be guaranteed to come at the same time)? |

Why would multiple homeworlds effect it? Homeworlds don't inherently have a wave multiplier. |

Nope, but if I play with 8 homeworlds, I get 8 waves (on diff. 7). Much like you get several waves on higher difficulties. |

Via other recent changes, this is no longer a concern -- there are no longer any wave multipliers at all! :) |
