Summary0013943: Andor Foreign Aide - why doesn't it improve the attitude of reciepients towards the Andor?
DescriptionAndor Foreign Aide doesn't appear to improve their relations with the other races or if it does it is not stated like gifting technology does for example. Considering how expensive the different aide options can get sometimes it seems silly that the receiving race wouldn't feel at least some amount of gratitude for the Andor's generosity or possibly even offense at Andor handouts if a negative reaction is of interest for game-play diversity in some situations.

This still seems to be the case in 1.006, and it bothers me as well. I can see different races reacting to the generosity differently (ie it would actually tick off the burlust because it implies they are too weak to handle it themselves, and some races, like the thoraxians, might be indifferent and so not have any influence changes, and the Peltians might respond twice as well, etc.) and depending on the current RCI value being aided (for certain assistance options) the value might change as well (for instance if at -200 vlaue even the Burlusts might be swallowing their pride and give some begrudging respect, and at high positive values there might be less "gratitude", etc.).

Also, I believe these actions should give the player small amounts of influence with each effected race (for brokering the deal), which amounts could also be modified based on race/values as above.

It's occurred to me that there is a bit of this already in the game with some races resenting assistance from the Andor but it seems to be from stuff they do on their own rather than as a result of your getting them to send foreign aide of some kind. If it does something like this already it isn't documented in the mission success report.

Thanks!

* When the Andors do their "Send In Assistance" action to other races, the other races are either grateful or resentful for it, and the Andors are pleased with the other race in terms of being glad to assist.
** Additionally, whenever the Andors do one of their foreign aid style of contracts initiated by you, the relations also go up.
