After looking into this more, this seems to occur when you attack the defenders of an outpost that is already under attack. It appears that when you get rid of the defenders the ships already attacking the outpost can deal the final blow which results in the outpost being destroyed right away without a chance for the player to capture it. I haven't seen it enough to be sure this is the case, but that's what it looks like right now. This may or may not seem like intended behavior. |

Yep, intended behavior there. No more defenders = dead outpost. |
