DescriptionIn the attached save the Evucks are launching an attack on the Skylaxian homeworld; sometimes the Acutians will join in. Watch as the massively superior attacker fleets get ground into dust.

Is it because of the 5 ion cannons on the planet?

I've figured out the problem. As long as the planet can keep at least one defense armada alive and in orbit, the attackers are never going to do anything to it, ever. Given how fast planets produce things late game, this gets really ridiculous in fairly short order.

The way forward is to destroy the defenders in a manual battle, giving the attackers room to bomb the planet until the next defender spawns. At which point you repeat the process...

Though this doesn't explain why the kill ratio is so absurd...

* When a planet only has a single armada at it, ground combat is now allowed to still happen. This way planets can't avoid ground combat simply by virtue of being able to crank out a single armada too quickly.
