Descriptionsuggestion: consider adopting hitmans little additions to the AI gaurdposts into the mainstream AI Wars version... they look really nice and continue the theme of 'forboding red lights' of the special forces gaurdpost. it also helps the graphics stand out from wreckage and generally looks awesome

Those are darned good graphics! Personally I don't think they fit the rest of the graphics though... Personally it'd just be annoying to see the two vastly different styles side by side.

That being said, hop to it and make ship graphics as well!

Without trying to promote my art or complain about the official stuff, the official graphics for guard posts and guardians are already vastly different from majority of the original ship designs from the base game and Zenith Remnant.

With the red lights and more metallic colours in my modifications, I'm hoping to get the machine feel back to the AI stuff. I will likely do so with a few of the guardians as well, if time and interest permits.

I don't want to force my preferences on anyone though, hence them being mods.

Very neat take on the guard posts.

Also:
can we get the missile guard post offset upwards so that the structure looks like a watch tower sitting ON the rocks, rather than sort of "floating" above them.

Regarding any requests for modifications that I could do, please post them in the forum thread. We need not use Mantis for such. ;)

There's more to it than just flipping it upside down if you want it to look good. ;) For one, it would look like the light on the structure is cast from under it, which is contradictory to majority of other structures. While the background can prove it to be either way, it's always better to have a pattern to the lighting.

Then there's the fact that the thin strings attached to the rock are a bit too thin to look like launch points for long-range missiles, so it could use some proper launcher parts.

... now you made me use Mantis again. ;_;

No, no flipping.

The graphic simply needs to MOVE upwards half its height. No changes to the bitmap itself.

Ahh.

The rock part is already touching the top edge of the picture, so you can't do that without cropping something, or increasing the size of the picture to have more space. Same thing with both top and bottom edge.

Well, to be honest I'm still not quite sure what you mean. I tried a few things, but none seemed to look good. It may be best you make a demonstration. In the meantime, I'll see if I can come up with a different kind of version. ;p
