Summary0014251: Emergency combat hangers don't stop spawning small ships after death.
DescriptionJust as it says. Destroy an Emergency Combat Hanger, and ships will keep spawning from it, even though it's not there.

Someone suggested that this is reinforcements arriving to help from the main fleet, however shouldn't all of them that haven't arrived yet be destroyed with the hanger? It kind of makes destroying the hanger pointless.

It's like the military bombing an airfield into oblivion before the planes can lift off, yet the planes and runway survive well enough to lift off anyways. If it's intended, it makes no sense to the player. If it's not intended, then it's a bug.

Yea, I have no earthly idea how this would be happening, and a save where it can be reproduced would be most helpful :)

I did several test (around 15/20 tries) just now. The only case when I can reproduce it is when hangar have just released ship at end of current turn and you destroy the hangar at the beginning of next one. So spawned ships appear to come from thin air but they were existent at end of previous turn.

in attached savegame, just start next turn and fire at hangar. it explodes but ships appear. Reload and hover over hangar while in target ship mode: you'll see lot of small ships (just released and "growing") so they are really there and do not spawn from destroyed hangar

For 1.007:

* Deployed squadron/drone ships now start at about 25% faded-in, to avoid the appearance of a just-destroyed deploying ship (or emergency response hangar) continuing to deploy ships after death.

How long do "Just deployed" ships remain inactive? I was still having ships warping in for a full minute after I destroyed the hanger.

I wouldn't necessarily call this closed yet.

Edit: I will provide a video link of this happening when I get the chance. Been very busy in real life over here.
