Just checking: this is on windows? Not linux via WINE, etc. Is there an antivirus program in play? Some of them like to kill our games without telling the user what's happening. One thing you might try is disabling the automatic check for updates by editing your settings.dat file (in the RuntimeData subdirectory) by changing this line: AutomaticallyCheckForUpdates:1 to AutomaticallyCheckForUpdates:0 if you don't have a settings.dat file in the RuntimeData subdirectory you can create one in a text editor with these lines: FromVersion:7031 AutomaticallyCheckForUpdates:0 Anyway, if it's a supported platform, and there's no antivirus interference, and disabling the update-check doesn't work my next guess is some kind of hardware or software instability outside the game itself, as I don't recall the last time I heard a report of this particular behavior. For diagnostic purposes, do you have another machine you can try the game on? |

Yes this is on Windows 7, and I am running avast antivirus. |
|
Apparently it was in fact my antivirus, i set it to silent mode and ai war started up fine. |

Ok, thanks for letting me know. Glad it worked out :) |
