Description | It looks like the homeworld option selection algorithm needs a few tweaks to keep everything contiguous on the encapsulated map. See the attached screenshot where the homeworld options are split into two clusters of 8. The split seems to happen in about a third of the 120-star seeds I've tried. Always 8 and 8. Nomads are set to 4, but do not seem to impact the allowable homeworlds. Testing other planet numbers shows that this effect is not isolated to 120 star maps. Even 40-star maps can be split. | ||||

Like several earlier map styles, this one doesn't guarantee all 16 potential HWs are contiguous; so long as it generates them contiguous on a decent % of seeds that's fine. |
