Description | Would deal no damage, but rather would turn every AI ship to threat mode. Higher marks - More planets affected (a'la nuke). Not sure if it needs any AIP increase, since it doesn't do any damage, and you still have to deal with the units. It would have its uses though, since it would gather all AI units in one place, where they can be dealt with locally. Although if you overestimate your defenses, this could easily do more damage to you than the AI... | ||||

Not necessarily. The threat fleet won't come onto your planets unless they overpower you. If you've got a chokepoint, you'd still need to engage them on an AI planet. Are there tactics to be used with this where you can "safely" blow AI ships up? Probably. But if you happen to overestimate your defenses or underestimate the threat you're about to free, it's game over. |
