| Description | So here is an interesting one... As far as I can tell, surviving "Planetary Defense Forcess" [sic] will join forces with the new owners of a planet if it swaps hands via invasion. This is all well and good I suppose most of the time, but if the Hydral captures the planet in Betrayal mode, the Planetary Defense Forces are enlisted into the Hydral's forces, can be controlled via the Armada Management screen, and can exceed the Hydral's armada cap. In attached savegame, the Skylaxian's world (Melete) is ripe for invasion. Sending one or more of the Hydral's fleets (supposedly?) overwhelms the population in ground combat, which should display this behavior. As a bonus, in this save Evucks have lost their world, but have a pirate base. Using the mission to "smuggle in resistance fighters" on Melete also appears to demonstrate this transfer of defense forces ownership. | ||||

For 1.606: * Now when a planet is captured, all its local defense armadas (if any remain) are removed from the game rather than switching to the conquering side. Thanks :) |
