| Description | I'm playing the game for the first time, and I became confused because every time I go to provide spacefaring tech to a race that doesn't have it yet (though I tend to do it just before their timer runs out), it tells me that if I give it to them, my influence with the other factions will reduce by large amounts, like 40 or 50. However, when I actually deliver it, I get the benefits (credits windfall, big influence gain with recipient faction), but none of the penalties. Looking over my logbook, I see one case where I lost 5 whole influence with another faction; that's it. I'm attaching my save so you can see. I'm really surprised that I didn't already see a bug on this, since it seems to completely break game balance. Am I just misunderstanding something? | ||||

No problem, you're all good. That said, we're completely redoing the way that these particular missions work, because they are indeed not that great, and somewhat out of balance to boot.
