Summary0016023: Assassin missions repeating too often; even if you withdraw or die
DescriptionSo, facing a Thoraxian Protectorate, I've earned a -2000 or so influence doing bad things to them. Assassin missions are completely reasonable, but I'm getting stuck in loops where I face two or even three of them in a row. Even if I withdraw or die, the calendar will skip forward a bunch of months and another assassin mission will start.

While that might well suit "Misery" combat difficulty, having a minimum delay between the forced assassin missions would be appreciated at lower difficulty levels.

There's also a balance issue lurking. I'm alternating between bombing and decreasing medical or environmental RCI as needed to keep them below -200. Every few months I choose to fight the 0000003:0000005 armada home fleet once they build it up again. It's much easier to take on the main Thoraxian fleet of a half-dozen flagships plus the orbital defenses and such in straight-up combat over their home world, then to handle the assassin fleets.

For 1.703:

* Put in a rule to prevent thoraxian hunter fleets from spawning way more frequently than normal assassin fleets (which could lead to having to fight many of them in quick succession).
** In old saves you might already have had a bunch of these spawns, in which case this change won't really help you until you fight off what's been spawned. But after that it should help.

If you still see this after 1.703 is out please let us know, and if at all possible attach a save file where we can see the behavior ourselves as it's probably a case of us guessing wrong about what's actually causing the chain-fights.

Okay, here we go:

* Made a change so that during the "what you missed while in combat" playback, you no longer have the AFA or Assassins massing to attack you again. Previously it was still doing that, just at 1/3 speed.
