DescriptionThis could be deliberate to not make the game too difficult, but if an AI unit cannot reach you, they will not attempt to move into weapons range.

A common example is a Small Loot container in a hallway preventing movement, a sniper unit can kill anything and everything beyond that loot container and the ai will not move even if they could move close enough to the container to shoot you.

Y is you, the sniper, the X The Loot container, and the bots beyond that. with weapons they could move up to the container and fire at me, but instead they will not move positions and just die.
Not even making an attempt to get into firing range.

It depends on the bot, but in some cases they will move into range, other times they will not. Snipers specifically hang back, because sometimes that's actually the optimal behavior because of them being able to gang up on you when you inevitably have to move in to take out something else. Depends on what sort of guns you are using, of course.

But that's part of the puzzle nature of the game. Snipers hit HARD, so if you don't use guns that can take them out from outside of their range, then when they gang up on you, you pretty much die. So there's kind of a two-part bit to this: on the one hand, making it harder, and on the other hand, making it possible at all.

With other bots like the DumBots or similar, you'll notice that they tend to make a beeline for you like you'd expect.
