Summary | 0016227: Work priority toggle
Description | Okay, so, one thing I've noticed is that when things go horribly wrong, alot of important buildings shut down.... but things that are then useless, like shopping malls, continue to function. The only way to fix this is to very slowly click on every single thing and disable them manually... needless to say, this can take forever. So the suggestion is to have some sort of screen where I can just do it overall; like say, okay, I want THIS and THIS to have total priority; dont fill job slots in anything else no matter what if these are not already filled. The screen could also list how many jobs are filled in each building type, as that'd help alot too. It'd save alot of time and tedium.

I'd guess that's what city management is going to be for. Being able to shut down entire lines of builds (all Barracks/Shopping Malls) would be a great thing as well. |
One tip for now: holding x and clicking buildings disables or enables them immediately. |
In the city management screen, I’d like to have a vertical listbox of all the types of buildings that exist in my city, and which are disable-able (in the sense of ever -- things like the lander and so forth not included there). -- Each building in the list should show the name, and it should be sorted by name. In the text behind it, it should show the number of buildings in parentheses. If some are enabled but others are disabled, then it should show as a number like (1/3) if one out of three is enabled. -- Double-clicking these entries should toggle all of the enabled buildings off if there are any, or toggle them all on if all of them are disabled. |
Something like the Settlers priority cue would be good too. A list of all the buildings that can be ranked by the player. Things at the top of the list are staffed first. |
For 0.801: * The city management window how has a button for each type of building in the city (except the city centers, which cannot be toggled on/off) and double clicking one will try to turn all buildings of that type in that city off (if any are on) or on (if not). Thanks :) |
