Summary | 0016394: Adjacent tiles combining to make a larger building
Description | It would be neat if buildings would grow together over time to make larger more efficient buildings. So if you had three apartments all adjacent to each other, it would make a 3 tile size special apartment building. Then if you had 7 apartments, with a center apartment surrounded by 6 apartments, it would be become a massive 7 hex apartment. You could then continue with this pattern as necessary (i.e, 3 radius hex, 4 radius hex, etc). Example Illustration Attached. Reasoning Density is an issue with the current system. By incorporating adjacent and cumulative scaling bonuses for buildings, you can increase the density of a city, while not changing the size as much. It would also increase city diversity. Currently cities are very homogeneous, and adding ways to differentiate them will make cities more attractive and increase the connection a player has to "their" city.
