Summary0016415: Pearl Necklace
DescriptionPlanets are organized in a linear succession of pearls. Each pearl has a dozen of planets (a 80p map would have 6 or 7 pearls) and is separated by one planet having one wormhole leading to the next pearl and one leading to the previous. The necklace itself may form a ring or a string (necklace tied or untied), randomly or statically. The composition of the pearls is opened to debate and variants.

The players can take pearls as a whole and defend their two links. They also can choose and neuter one path through a pearl and use it to reach the next one.

Pearl Necklace - Simple

Each pearl has two side-planets, one linked to the next linking-planet, one linked to the previous one. Each side-planet is linked to three planets. Each of these three planets are linked to the three other by pairs.

Pearl Necklace - Complex

Each pearl has two side-planets, one linked to the next linking-planet, one linked to the previous one. Each side-planet is linked to three planets. Each of these three planets are linked to all the three other.

Pearl Necklace - Cluster

Each pearl is a random cluster, and the mapstyle by itself resemble a lot the cluster-simple mapstyle with clusters organized in a string or a ring.

Pearl Necklace - Microcosm

Each pearl has a different pattern chosen randomly among grid, crosshatch, honneycomb, concentric, pearl-simple or pearl-complex.

Note:
The size of the pearls for Simple and Complex can be increase to reach the 12 planets per perl (and 6~7 pearl on a 80p map) by adding one column of 3 planets on the middle.

(ASCII-art is a bit messy when displayed in a web browser. Try copy-pasting them in notepad.)

EDIT: I added some images. It seems that the complete simple necklace isn't automatically displayed.
